Our Services
We are here to help. The Gordon County CAC/SAC is a dual Child Advocacy Center and Sexual Assault Center. We are one the few centers in the state of Georgia that provide comprehensive services to victims across the lifespan.
Hotline
In November 2022, we launched a 24/7 hotline. A knowledgeable advocate is always available to help connect victims to services they need. The hotline is also available to investigative professionals needing the help of a CAC/SAC to ensure proper evidence collection and patient care.
Counseling
The CACs heal more than 200,000 kids each year. Our members offer 226,036 kids science-backed counseling and therapy services to help them recover from trauma and avoid the lifelong impacts of trauma. The Gordon CAC/SAC provided nearly 300 counseling services in 2022.
WE ARE HERE 24/7.

Education & Outreach
CACs educate more than 1.5 million people each year, helping to prevent abuse. The Gordon CAC/SAC collaborates with many community partners to bring awareness and education to the public as well as to professionals who work these special cases. In 2022, we provided education to almost 700 people in Gordon County.
Forensic Interviews
CACs coordinate a multidisciplinary response to child maltreatment, which can help reduce the number of interviews children experience, streamline the investigation, and coordinate the delivery of services and supports.
Medical Exams
The forensic medical exam is a non-invasive, but comprehensive medical exam, conducted by the CAC/SAC medical service provider, who has specialized training in the medical evaluation of child sexual and physical abuse as well as adult sexual abuse.
Advocacy Services
Our advocates are dedicated, compassionate individuals who are ready to support victims in crisis and long after. They are often the first voice to greet victims and their caregivers, the first face they meet at the CAC, and the consistent support throughout the process.
